Allen Small

Allen Arthur Small, also known as “Dyron”, 68, passed away on December 22, 2020.  He was born March 7, 1952 in Neptune, NJ to Allan Small and Sarah Watson Small.

He was the third child of ten siblings. Allen graduated from Neptune Township High School where he played Basketball. He was a painter for most of his life.  He enjoyed eating pastrami sandwiches and puffy cheese doodles, playing cards, fishing, watching the New York Giants, and listening to old school music.

He was predeceased by his parents, Allan Small and Sarah Watson Small; Donald and Wanda Small. He leaves to cherish his memory, his one and only daughter, Deshawn Young; two granddaughters, Jewel Alston and Joi Alston of Neptune, NJ; siblings, Josephine Hicks of Neptune City, NJ, Diane (Larry) Shoats Asbury Park, NJ, Carol Small of Asbury Park, NJ, and Barbara Small, William (Pam) Small, Betty Small, Lucy Small all of Neptune, NJ; best friends, Derek “Buckey” Jones, and Karen Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews and one aunt.
